Sporting Medals & Trophies Auction

Entries are now being invited for the inaugural Sporting Medals & Trophies auction that takes place on 26 April 2019.

McTear’s has a long and respected tradition for achieving top prices for primarily football-related medals and trophies, including the gold replica European Cup (see below) won by Celtic FC in 1967. Selling for an impressive £58,000, it is now displayed proudly in the club’s boardroom back ‘home’ at Celtic Park.

The first dedicated auction of its type in Scotland, this international sale will comprise not only medals and trophies awarded for professional and amateur football, but other popular sports including golf, tennis, rugby, cricket and curling.
