The boys are back in town
One lot in the upcoming Works of Art, Medals, Militaria & Furniture auction on 2 February, is a certified piece of Rock’n’Roll history – an original poster from Thin Lizzy’s 1980 show at the sadly-missed concert venue ‘The Glasgow Apollo’. (Lot 1732)
The iconic venue hosted a wide range of acts during its lifetime (1973-89), this gig being the tenth time the boys from Dublin took to the stage. With the poster advertising tickets from £3 it’s a far cry from the sums paid for today’s concerts!
The poster itself has been lithographically printed and stands as a marvellous work of art in its own right. It should hit all the right notes at the auction!
