The Tremendous Macallan Tudor Decanter

Rarely a month goes by where Macallan bottlings don’t dominate the top end of the McTear’s Rare and Collectable whisky auction, and this month is no different.

Leading the way is lot 25, the Macallan 1965 25 year old presented in the Tudor Crystal decanter. The hand blown decanter and stopper of 18th century design weighs exactly 4 and half pounds. This exquisite decanter is the ideal container for the fantastic 25 year old liquid, and is expected to sell for in excess of £3,500.

Also included is the unusual Macallan Amber liqueur. Unusual in that it was a venture into liqueur production by Macallan, but also that it is the fine Macallan spirit blended with maple syrup and pecans. This short lived liqueur always appeals to collectors, and is expected to sell for £200-£300.
