Victorian Ingenuity

The huge advances made by the Victorians in engineering, manufacturing and design were not lost on the world of jewellery.

Fairly rare to auction, lot 3 in The Jewellery Auction on 13 March is an expanding bracelet; an excellent example of a combination of beauty and mechanical elements. Estimated at £200-400, this piece is also very wearable with its simple moulded links and seed pearl accents.
