Having grown up in a house surrounded by antiques, Stewart has had an interest from an early age. His passion is all things Chinese porcelain, particularly 18th and 19th century pieces, with an ever growing collection at home. Before joining McTear’s, Stewart worked at Thomas R. Callan Auctioneers & Valuers in Ayr, Peebles Auction House and completed a work experience placement at Hansons Auctioneers in Derbyshire which ultimately kick started his career.
Outside of work, Stewart enjoys being at church with all things connected to his deep Christian faith, as well as regularly searching for new Chinese porcelain pieces to add to his collection, along with travelling, driving, photography, running and snooker.
Stewart is delighted to be part of the team at McTear’s.
