Having grown up in a house surrounded by antiques, Stewart has had an interest from an early age. His passion is all things antique, particulalry 18th and 19th century Chinese porcelain, with an ever growing collection at home. Before joining McTear’s, Stewart worked at Thomas R. Callan Auctioneers & Valuers in Ayr, Peebles Auction House and completed a work experience placement at Hansons Auctioneers in Derbyshire which ultimately kick started his career.
As a born again Christian Believer, Stewart enjoys being at church with all things connected to his deep Christian faith. Also, in his spare time, Stewart's passions include searching for new Chinese porcelain pieces to add to his collection, along with travelling, driving, photography, running and snooker, as well as being a volunteer street pastor with Glasgow Street Pastors.
