A series of specialist sales will offer buyers one of the widest selection of luxury and heritage items to come to auction at McTear’s over the past 12 months.

The December sales will serve up a selection of stunning lots ranging from opulent £20,000 diamond bracelets and a vintage £15,000 Rolex Submariner timepiece to the world’s most exquisite single malts and beautiful contemporary art.

For those looking for a touch of sparkle, the Exceptional Jewellery Auction on December 14 is a must-attend event. Alongside a dazzling 20-carat diamond bracelet, the sale boasts a stunning Victorian rose diamond brooch and an exquisite diamond tennis bracelet crafted by the late Glasgow jewellery designer Eric Smith. 

On December 15th, the Festive Malts & Christmas Spirit Auction will unveil a collection of unique whiskies from renowned distilleries such as Macallan, Springbank, Highland Park, Laphroaig, and Bowmore. Notable offerings include the splendid Macallan Diamond Jubilee, potentially fetching £5,000, and a one-of-a-kind Balvenie 1970 staff bottling, estimated at £3,000 to £5,000. 

Watch enthusiasts will be spoilt for choice on December 13th as two iconic timepieces take centre stage. A 1968 Rolex no-date Submariner, estimated at £10,000 to £15,000, and a 1966 Rolex GMT Master, listed at £6,000 to £8,000, promise to captivate potential buyers.

The Scottish Contemporary Art Auction on December 14th is set to be another highlight of the December calendar. The sale will include everything from rare Banksy screenprints to a breathtaking large watercolour and pastel piece by the late John Byrne, along with captivating landscapes and more from Scotland’s leading contemporary artists.
