The Watches Auction

The Watches Auction

McTear’s is the country's only auction house to hold regular auctions in Scotland dedicated to watches. 

Highlights of this auction include three military watches: two fantastic Russian examples - one of which is a Soviet Army aviation watch - and a Smiths military watch.

An unusual Rolex ‘Lady Dudley’ will be featured alongside some modern examples including Gucci, Rotary and many others.

The Rare & Fine Whisky Auction

The Rare & Fine Whisky Auction

Headlining this auction is the Glenlivet 1940 Gordon & MacPhail Generations. Bottled after 70 years, this is one of only 100 decanters and is estimated to sell for £12,000-£15,000. A beautiful spirit which is one of the most mature spirits ever bottled.

The regular contingent of Macallan follows on, with the ever popular Private Eye 35th anniversary edition with the Ralph Steadmen designed label leading the way with a pre-auction estimate of £2,500-£3,500.

After their strong performance in the previous Rare & Fine Whisky Auction, the Macallan London Underground decanters feature again. A fantastic collection of 80 will go under the hammer across lots 144, 145, 146 and 147. These would fit in perfectly in any Macallan or railway enthusiast’s collection.

Twenty-three bottles of Dow’s 1966 vintage port will attract interest from port collectors, and drinkers alike, with each bottle expected to sell for £80-£120 in good condition.
