The Clocks & Instruments Auction at McTear’s this month is set to be a real performance (in the best way!) as an orchestra of instruments go under the hammer. Ranging from pocket sized to boudoir grand, instruments of all sizes and styles comprise this fine forthcoming sale.
With four fantastic pianos in the auction, perhaps a beautiful boudoir grand piano will inspire a tune (lot 1153). If upright is more your style, what about one of two handsome Yamaha upright pianos, offered at lots 1110 and 1112. Each come with an estimate of £400-600.
Of an entirely different scale, an attractive graduated set of five satinwood recorders by Dolmetsch are offered at lot 1135. These are impressed with makers mark and serial number dating to 1956-57. This desirable set is offered with an estimate of £200-400
