Time In Miniature

McTear's presents an impressive array of items in our July Clocks, Scientific & Musical Instruments, including lot 606. This desk timepiece by well known maker Jaeger LeCoultre, is modelled in the form of a street lamp and quite simply, is the definition of novelty.

 

 

This item comes with an inscribed sign which reads 'Rue De La Paix', as well as an eight day movement, the white enamel dial with Roman numerals and subsidiary calendar aperture. The piece comes with an estimate of £300 - £500 and is sure to be a great talking point in any home.

Another piece, also by Jaeger LeCoultre, is lot 624. This Atmos mantle clock, numbered 430614, has a white enamel chapter ring set with gilt dagger hour markers and Arabic numerals at 3, 6, 9 and 12 and comes complete in a rather striking gilt metal case. Estimated at £400 - £600, this piece is sure to tick all the right boxes with prospective bidders on the day.
